It is with heavy hearts that PLS announces the recent passing of our Landscape Manager, Jeff Robinson’s, wife, Jeanne after a two-year battle with breast cancer. Although Jeanne was not a direct employee of PLS, she truly was a great supporter of our business as well as a trusted and respected consultant to us. A “Celebration of Life” service was recently held at the Sellersville Theater to honor Jeanne, her lifelong contributions and legacy. A scholarship fund has been set up in her honor; memorial contributions may be made to:

In other news, we are pleased to announce that Kristin Wenger has joined the PLS team as our new Office Assistant. Kristin worked for PLS during her college years as an intern and has now come back to our little family. She is married, has three children and enjoys spending time with her family hiking, biking or, really, doing anything outdoors. She is also heavily involved with several Lacrosse organizations because of her children’s participation and currently serves as Secretary for the Deep Run Trailblazers Lacrosse team. If you call or stop by our offices, you are likely to be greeted by Kristin, so be sure to welcome her back.
PLS would like to congratulate the following team members on their years of service. Without the dedication and hard work of these individuals, PLS would not be company it is today.
Pedro Elias Lopez, 5 years
Alvaro Ruano, 10 years
Pedro and Alvaro are valued members of our installation and maintenance crews but always happy to fill in and do what is needed to help us serve our customers. It’s not too often when a small business such as ours can celebrate so many milestones. We are proud to have such hard-working and loyal employees.
THANK YOU PEDRO AND ALVARO!
You may have seen several police and county vehicles parked near our office on Route 202 – don’t worry PLS wasn’t in any trouble. Peter Schwalm, President and Owner of PLS, has partnered with the Bucks County Special Task Force by offering use of several vacant buildings on our adjacent property for use in their special tactical training exercises. It has been interesting to watch what they do (from afar, of course) and see the kind of training needed to keep our communities safe. PLS is proud to support our police and to be a part of this civic and community-minded event.
PLS was is also proud to support the Central Bucks YMCA’s “Thrive” campaign again this year. This worthwhile cause partners with Fox Chase Cancer Center’s patients, who are either currently receiving or have completed cancer treatment therapy, by providing exercise therapy to help restore and increase vitality.
WHAT’S NEW AT PLS:
We want to thank you, our customers, for your patience during last year’s transition to a new Quickbooks billing system. We now have one full year under our belt and hope you have benefited from the timely and simplified invoices. Over the next few winter months, we will be working on incorporating our estimates and proposals into that same system as well, in order to streamline our office systems and better serve our customers.
We also want to thank those of you who have taken advantage of our newest service here at PLS: installation of Coastal Source Landscape Lighting and Outdoor Audio systems for which we are a Certified Dealer/Installer. We had a very busy year of designing and installing these easy-to-use wireless and high-quality-sound systems, and look forward to enhancing more outdoor living spaces with light and sound in 2017.
GENERAL OFFICE INFORMATION:
PLS will be closing at 1:00PM on Friday, December 16th so our employees can attend and enjoy our annual holiday party. In case of inclement weather, please don’t hesitate to contact our office as we will be retrieving messages continuously.
We will be observing the Christmas and New Year’s holidays on Monday, December 26 and January 3, 2017 respectively. During the week between Christmas and New Year’s (12/27 – 12/30) we will have limited office hours so that our employees can enjoy time with their families and loved ones. Rest assured that during inclement weather and/or in the event of snow, the phones will be manned continuously to ensure that all urgent messages have been heard and received by the proper person to address them.
As we come to a close of this year, all of us at PLS would like to thank our customers for their continued support and wish everyone a healthy, happy, and safe holiday season and New Year!
